Additionally, they manage a rest house that provides essential spiritual and physical care for staff and missionaries.
The Zerbin family lives a lifestyle of ministry in Baja, Mexico, serving as missionaries at the Foundation for His Ministry Children’s Home. Marc works as an auto service technician, maintaining over 60 vehicles at the mission. He frequently mentors young men at the children’s home and local community members in mechanical skills, while also serving as a supportive mentor, compassionate friend, and devoted neighbour.
Kelly and their two daughters minister to families in need within the community, many of whom suffer from domestic abuse and poverty, as well as to the children in the home. Kelly is currently taking a course in Biblical Counseling to deepen her ability to provide effective support, compassionate guidance, and foster deeper connections within their community.
Marc and Kelly also manage a rest house owned by the children’s home, which offers a much-needed sanctuary for missionaries and staff involved in the emotionally and physically demanding work at the home. Their responsibilities include overseeing hospitality and managing guest transitions, which involves considerable laundry and upkeep. Since taking on this role, the rest house has seen near-constant use, a significant improvement from its previous state of neglect. Through their dedicated hosting, Marc and Kelly have forged much deeper connections with both local staff and missionaries, enriching their relationships tenfold.
Over seven years ago, God called Marc and Kelly Zerbin to sell their home in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, purchase an old motorhome, and drive down to Mexico to learn more about poverty alleviation. Guided by divine intervention, they arrived at the front door of the children’s home, where they have been serving ever since.
Marc maintains over 60 vehicles in the mission’s mechanic shop, mentoring youth and adults in auto service technician skills. Kelly works in hospitality, managing a house of rest where staff and missionaries can take much-needed breaks. She also counsels youth and adults, fostering relationships within the community. Their daughters, River and Arabella, help open doors for relationships everywhere they go.
